LITHO PRINT
Lithographic print is popular with our customers who require accurate pantone colour matching. Using our state-of-the art Prinect computer-to-plate technology, linking through to our multi-colour Heidelberg sheet-fed litho printing presses (complete with impress colour spectrophotometer reading control), ensures quality performance and colour consistency throughout the production run.
When it comes to full colour, we have over 28 years’ experience in printing a multitude of different products on differing substrates, giving you the peace of mind that your packaging will convey the premium quality of the product inside.
DIGITAL PRINT
Thomson Print & Packaging operates a Heidelberg Versafire CV digital press, producing short run print on demand products such as business stationery, leaflets, booklets, brochures and envelopes – all at competitive prices.
The Heidelberg Versafire also provides a fifth colour unit that is capable of printing white toner or clear toner to create a spot varnish effect.
The benefits of choosing digital print over litho are:
  • Quick turnaround – no need for machine plates or ink drying time
  • Cost effective – reduced origination costs compared to litho print
  • Perfect for short runs and no need to order in bulk, with no out of date stock
  • Personalisation – we can personalise printed material with names, addresses or other relevant information
We can also supply up to A0 poster size prints using our Epson SC-P8000
FOIL BLOCKING
Thomson Print & Packaging have the largest foil blocking operation in the East of Scotland. Our twin Gietz FSA Compact foil blocking presses are market leaders in hot foil stamping, capable of offering excellent foil detailing on any production run. We understand the challenging task of achieving the finer detail within your foil blocking area and offer a wide range of different foil shades and finishes.
A growing number of our clients are adding foil blocking to their products to create an aesthetic edge and stand out against their competitors.
EMBOSSING & DEBOSSING
Embossing or debossing your design is one of the easiest ways to enhance your product with elegant, understated class.
We can emboss or deboss your product on a wide variety of substrates, both printed and unprinted. Why not Emboss your whole illustration and not just your logo.

FORME CUTTING
